Princesses
The girls love to dance and sing to the princess movies - again and again. Cinderella and Frozen are the favorites by far with the Little Mermaid close behind. I love watching them dance together as they hold hands. It is particularly cute when they wear their skirts together.
My little Lily is becoming a princess! She loves Elsa & "Let it Go!" In fact I cannot use my phone around her without her insisting we want the youtube video of it. She could watch it all day long! Emily loves Lily's excitement for princesses as she can show her the songs, dances, and so much more!

Empty Drawers
One of the girl's favorite things to do is empty their pajama and pant drawers. I usually find them empty when I leave them for a few minutes to clean or put something away. Sometimes I wonder why I fold them when I put them away each time. Emily thankfully has joined in the folding fun!

Hogle Zoo
President's Day brought some sunshine and warmer weather encouraging us for a new adventure. We headed to Hogle Zoo with Nana, Grandpa, and Sissa. The girls had a blast. We brought the double stroller, but it was barely used as both girls walked - rather ran - the zoo. Lily loved "roaring" at the lions, tigers, and bears. Emily was so cute as a protective sister. She kept saying, "The lion (or any other animal) won't get Lily." I would remind her the animals were safe inside their cages. The adventure finished with a fun carousel ride. We are excited to go again soon!

Play Time
Each day I wake up excited for the new adventures of the day with my sweet girls. It seems their learning and growing occur so fast that I often wish there was more time to savor each moment. Of coarse there are challenging moments each day, but most of the day is filled with fun, imagination, and sweet snuggles. The girls love to read books, play princesses, dance, sing, craft with playdough, and dress up their dolls. I love watching their friendship blossom. It seems Emily has really grown over the past few weeks in learning to share and wanting Lily to play too. She can hardly wait for her to wake up some days. As night-time falls, I am excited for them to go to bed for a short break to the new adventures of tomorrow.

Disney Store Adventure
The girls, Nana, and I headed out for an adventure today to the Disney Store at City Creek Mall. Emily calls it the "Princess Store." I told her this morning we would go there after Lily's nap. She was so excited to go and could hardly wait. In fact, she wanted Lily to go down for a nap early and was diligent in going potty. City Creek was quite quiet, so the girls loved exploring the store. Lily loved picking up the stuffed animals and princesses and carrying them around. Emily loved looking at the clothes, shoes, accessories, and toys. She even took some time to pretend to color with the princesses. Nelson and I planned a little Valentine's Day gift from there, so I secretly picked it up. We hope to someday take them to the "Princess Castle" in Disneyland. For now these special trips to the Disney Store give me a glimpse of what is to come for my princess loving girls.

Dress Up

Emily and Lily love to play dress up with their blankets, swimsuits, my shoes, and play skirts. I am
amazed at Emily's imagination as she pretends. The girls love to dance and sing in the dress up outfits. I love the way Lily spins around shouting, "Let it go! Let it go!" The funny thing is I don't know if she has ever seen Frozen. I think she has learned it all from Emily! The other day I got their Olaf white blankets out from being stored away since moving. Emily immediately took it to pretend to be her white temple dress. She is adamant about wearing it with my white bridal shoes, dashing about to the temple and home again. Since we went to the Provo Tabernacle Open House, Emily has been excited about going to the temple. I love the ways she often asks to go to the temple and wear her white dress. I tell her some day soon she will! I hope the magic of the temple is always kindled in her heart for it is a place I love dearly and am excited to share with her some day.
Emily pretends to wear her temple dress to the stairs - her imaginary temple - then comes home to dress in her Frozen blanket dress with my black high heals. Lily loves to tag along too! I have often thought about getting them some dress up clothes, but it is so much fun to see them pretend with what they have.

A Winter Walk
On a few warmer winter days, the girls and I have enjoyed a stroll around the block. Emily loves to push her Cinderella doll in her doll stroller. Lily is content to ride in her stroller or investigate while walking beside me. I love taking in some warm sunshine and their smiling faces. We are missing St. George winters, but I know spring will be coming soon!
