Lily's Smiles & Favorites

Lily is a smiley girl - when mom is around!  She has a sparkle in her eyes each time she smiles.  I love to hear her giggle at Emily or when we play peek-a-boo.  Lily is quick to share her smiles, until mom isn't around.  She is sure a Mama's girl!!!  I love her to pieces.

I also love to watch her eyes discover the wonders of everyday.  Lily love to put anything and everything in her mouth.  She has quick reflexes, sometimes faster than me that we have had multiple messes to clean up.  Lily loves paper an tags.  She can be seen focusing on them for many minutes.  She is a smart cookie for sure!

Shopping

Shopping with two little ones is not my favorite thing to do.  However, when the fruit and milk are gone, it has to be done!!!  With a bag of treats - toys, snacks, and suckers - we head out on our adventure.  I love it when we are able to go to Albertson's for their car cart because everyone seems to be more content.  Costco isn't so bad either as both girls have a place to sit.  The other stores without these treasures are a bit tricky.  Somehow we have made it through, sometimes  most times with me looking helpless.  I cannot seem to escape the store with the two girls without someone offering to help me.  I think this may be a sign the three amigos shopping days are over - until the milk is gone!

Ever Emily

Emily's days are filled with pretending!!  She loves to pretend to be a me, which makes me watch my steps carefully to guide her well.  Emily loves to care for Lily by giving her toys, taking her for walks, and trying to console her when she cries.  Lily sure loves her big sister!  After each nap, Lily squeals with delight as she sees her big sister.  I love to hear them laugh together.

Emily is also a good mommy to her princesses.  She loves to read to them, change their diapers, and talk to them on the phone.  The other day I even found her praying with them.  Tender!

I love the time the three of us spend together working on house chores together.  Emily loves to fold, rather unfold, the laundry with me.  She is good at picking out her "Anna/Elsa jammies" and my garments.  Emily has become a pro at even putting them on.

As nigh approaches, my heart fills with joy recalling the fun we have had.  I love to read stories by her side and find it difficult to leave her for the night.  With a kiss and a sprinkle of pixie dust, my heart finds hope for the adventures of tomorrow while wishing she can still little forever.

The Girl with the Purse

Emily loves to carry her "bag" or purse wherever we go.  When it is time for us to go to the store or for her to go to a friend's house to be babysat, she insists on getting her bag.  I am always nervous she will lose a special toy that is tucked inside, but we fortunately haven't yet.  I love the way the bag rests on her arm and sways as she runs.  Emily has a walk of confidence that I love.  She's cute and she knows it!!!  To top it off, the other day she dressed herself in necklaces, put on her shoes, and grabbed her bag while insisting we head out on an adventure.  Emily was a bit disappointed to get dressed first, but I made sure to capture her picture before.
