8 Months

 

I can hardly believe Emily is 8 months.  She is closer to being one than ever before!!!  It is hard to imagine life without her as she makes our home so much brighter!  Here are a few highlights of the month . . .

• Emily still loves to be OUTSIDE.  She knows where the door is and will beg when you get close to it.
• She loves riding in her stroller around the park and apartment neighborhood, even if it is hot.
• Emily loves to eat, solids and milk.  Her favorites seem to be yogurt, sweet potatoes, and any kind of fruit.
• She has mastered eating crackers by herself and is working on her pincer fingers for finger foods.  She thinks she is a big kid!
• Emily is becoming quite a mover.  She loves to slide herself down your tummy to the ground.  Emily is working on crawling, showing us a few backward crawl  moves.
• Emily tried ice cream for the first time and LOVED it.  Yum!!
• She is quite social, especially with kids.  Emily loves to engage with other babies and shows off her smile often.  However, she still loves to be with mom and dad the most.
• Emily loves the water - bath time and swimming are a delight!  We love watching her splash in the water.
• This month Emily loved spending time with family when they visited for Daddy's graduation.  She had fun on her first train and carousal ride.  Hooray for Daddy!!
• Emily has discovered her voice and talks often to herself.  She especially loves to say "Ooh!"  Sometimes I wonder if I hear her say, "Wow!"
• Each day is a fun adventure with our Little Tink.  We love her so!!
