Aunt Sissa's Surprise Visit

On a Saturday afternoon phone call we got the exciting news that Aunt Sissa was coming to town on Monday.  We were so excited for this special visit.  There's always fun when Sissa comes to town! We enjoyed the park, library, and playing at home with Sissa.  As my best friend the days seemed to go by so quickly!  Conversation and fun were nonstop.  I am so excited for her to come again soon on her way to Disneyland!

Easter 2015

My mom was so sweet to make my girls matching dresses for Easter.  They looked darling.  Emily loved to twirl in her dress pretending to be a princess.  She loves to match Lily, which is so precious to me.  I love seeing my girls match as it reminds me of the days I got to match my 4 sisters as a little girl.  My talented mom sewed many dresses for us when we were little.  I always loved matching my big sisters and know my girls will too!

Growing Up to Fast

I don't think my kids will ever not be "my babies" in my mind.  I love them so very much that words cannot explain.  I try to show and say it to them everyday so that they will know without I doubt I love them no matter what!  More often than not, I try to slow down time for I find it is going too fast.  With the march of time, my kids seem to grow way to fast.  How did Emily get to be 2 and Lily 8 months?  I treasure the moments we share, especially the random occasions they fall asleep on my lap.  It is a little bit of heaven for sure.

This next weekend we begin an adventure of potty training with Emily.  I don't want her to grow up, but ready for her to learn new things.

Splashing Fun

A warm spring day meant a little bit of water fun for the girls.  We enjoyed the St. George Riverwalk and splash park.  Emily loved dancing through the fountains and Lily loved splashing in the water.  I know we have lots of days in the water ahead to keep cool in the summer heat!

Pretend Play with Emily

To say Emily loves to pretend would be an understatement!  She loves to pretend with her princess, little people, dolls, and books.  I love watching her incorporate the things she is learning into her play.  At the same time it makes me keep attention to things that I may need to change in what I say or do.  I love hearing her voice mimic everyday emotions and love.  Emily is such a caretaker of all in her care - dolls, princess, and even Lily.

We have a new morning tradition of walking our babies together.  I love it when Emily hurries to catch up to walk right by my side.  Her eyes are always aware and intrigued by the animals, flowers, and sights we see.

Swinging Sunny Days

With the sun shining, breeze blowing slightly, and the temperature just right, we all cannot seem to get enough sunshine.  We enjoy time together at the park and at the "swing park."  The sweet Relief Society president in our ward, Carol Burmester, has given us an open invitation to use her backyard.  The girls love to play on her grass, rocks, and swing set.  We are so grateful for the welcome invitation she has given us.  These are just a few glimpses into our fun!

St. Patrick's Day

A little leprechaun dropped off a treasured treat at our house - "Marshmallow Cereal!"  Emily loves to pick out all the marshmallows.  Eventually she will snack on the cereal too.  Later in the evening, the leprechaun dyed the pasta green!  What a tricky little guy!
