Moving Marathon

On June 10, Nelson had a phone interview with Kindred Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in St. George, Utah.  Since his graduation in May, Nelson and I have been actively looking and applying to many job opportunities in Utah and Arizona.  With our extended families, we have been praying and fasting to find and know of the right opportunity for us at this time.

On June 13, we drove to St. George to meet with the facility's director, Mark Peterson.  Nelson was quite nervous, but after an hour interview he came out feeling good about the position.  During his interview I wandered the campus with Emily.  Both of us felt like it would be a good opportunity if it presented itself.  The director told Nelson that he would let him know by Monday.  To say the least, it was a long weekend.

On Monday morning, June 17, Nelson was made an offer.  As Nelson said, with one phone call our life changed.  His new boss asked him to be there in two weeks, so the moving marathon started.  We began packing and left again on June 20 for a quick trip to St. George to find a place to live.  After looking at a few, we called on a new posting.  As soon as we began walk around the town home apartment, I knew it was where we needed to be.  Our renter, Kori, was pleasantly surprised and excited for us.  We headed home once again on Saturday, June 22nd to return once last time to St. George to stay June 27th.  

Moving in two weeks seemed crazy, but we made it through the help of our family, friends, and most of all the Lord.  Through the many long car rides, Emily was a trooper.  She played and slept well.  Our moving marathon was definitely a family effort, including Emily.  She was sure to entertain us and remind us to laugh.
