Logan's Pretty Shoes

Today while playing in the basement the girls found the little girl baby shoes.  They were having so much fun trying on the shoes - even though none of them fit.  Seeing all those shoes again flooded my mind with fun memories of the girls wearing them.  I remember them wearing those shoes to church, on adventures, and even to Nelson ASU graduation.  Soon enough the girls put some shoes on Logan.  It was silly to see him wearing those frilly shoes, but he looked adorable none the less.

Little Lily

One of Lily's nicknames is Silly Lily!  She has such a spunky, silly personality that keeps us all on our toys.  Lily loves to make us all smile every day.  I love her silly dances, jumping feet, sweet snuggles, and crazy facial expressions.  Lily loves to dress up!  It is hard for her to decide what to wear everyday.  Often she ends up wearing two outfits.  She is a true princess!  Her outfit is never complete without a bow or necklace.  She loves to be involved in anything Emily is doing.  Each day she strives to stay awake through naptime, but just can't quite do it.  They are becoming the best of friends.  Emily and Lily love to play with dolls, princesses, color, and dance.  Most of all with Lily, Emily likes to make mischief.  We are so glad to have Lily in our family!

Peek-a-Boo

Logan is learning some fun social tricks this past week.  The other day as we were playing Logan raised his cloth book over his eyes.  He smiled as he threw the book in his lap.  We then proceed to play peek-a-boo.  Logan now loves to play this game with me or even himself with his blankets.  I have found him playing peek-a-boo in his crib after he wakes up.  I love his smiles as he uncovers his face.  He is the cutest surprise!

Logan 9 Months

My Handsome Little Man is 9 months old.  He is growing up so fast and learning so many tricks each day.  It seems his personality shines more and more.  I love his sweet smile, snuggles, and curiosity.  Here are a few tricks for the month:
  • Logan loves milk, but is discovering new foods too.  He likes fruits, bread, pasta, and crackers.  Like his sisters he loves spaghetti.
  • He is my little sidekick!  Logan doesn't like to be out of my sight, making him a "mama's boy!"
  • Logan loves to play and watch toys that move and make noise.  He is especially fond of trucks, the vacuum, and hairdryer.
  • A musician in training - Logan loves to sing along with music in church and at home.
  • Logan is also a great cheerleader as he has learned to clap his hands.
  • He loves the outdoors, even watching it from the inside with it being so snowy lately.
  • Logan can bear his own weight on his legs.  He is eager to move and explore, but has not yet crawled or walk.  We work on these tricks daily.
  • Bath time is still a favorite.  Logan is smart!  He knows that after dinner is tubby time and quickly begins to kicks his legs in excitement.  I think part of the his joy with tubby time is being naked.
  • He has a contagious laugh and loves to be tickled under his chin and on his belly.
  • Logan loves his sisters and the sweet attention they give him.

Busy Boy

Logan loves things that move and make noise.  He especially loves the vacuum.  Each time I get ready to vacuum, Logan squeals with delight.  He loves watching it move and make noise.  Logan also loves cars, trains, and trucks.  Although he has many princess toys surrounding him with his sisters at play, Logan makes the most of it by engaging in the noise making and movement.  As the day ends, he can be found watching the cars go by as we anticipate the arrival of daddy!

Snow Days

January seems to be such a quiet time of year.  With a busy December, the quiet of January is often welcomed.  This week has been full of winter storms from big snow storms to icy rain to just cold!  We have spent many days just being at home.  It takes so long to get the kids in the car or bundled up to play in the snow that we often find fun at home.  One day after some cabin fever, I got everyone dressed up to play in the snow.  The girls lasted about 15 minutes before they were too cold!!  They were plenty warm, but don't like it when their hands are cold.  I don't blame them!

So since the girls are still learning about outside snow fun, we make fun inside.  Today the girls made paper crowns and had a dance party all afternoon.  They love the play dress ups and pretend to go to a princess ball.  Emily insisted that Logan have a crown too.  These 3 are sure a cute royalty.

My Royalty

On a snowy afternoon the girls insisted on having a crown to wear with their dress ups.  With no toy crowns in the house, we made paper crowns.  They thought it was so much fun to dance and sing with their crowns on their head.  It definitely completed their princess outfits.  I especially loved when the girls insisted that Logan get a crown too.  They are sure a cute royalty.
