My Little Shopper
Emily is a shopper! Every once in a while (when I am brave enough to handle restocking) I let Emily out of the shopping cart. She immediately runs up and down the isles and places anything she can on the bottom of the cart. On this particular trip she stocked up our cart with toothpaste and mouthwash. Emily thought it was funny to see if she could keep more on the cart than I could put back. This is why most days Emily stays in the cart!

Cutie
Since Emily could crawl she has loved to place with the DVDs in the entertainment center. She loves to pull out the cases and try to pry them open. Emily has now discovered the Polar Express movie has 3D glasses. Having mom, dad, and herself try on the glasses is a favorite pastime.
The following to pictures are of my cute girl in pigtails like the one above. Emily is sure becoming a little girl, losing her baby face too fast. I seek to treasure each moment as I am realizing how fast time is going - too quickly!!

Splish, Splash
Emily found a puddle on the sidewalk today. It was funny to watch her. At first she looked at it with contemplation. Gradually she got closer and closer, glancing at me every few steps. As soon as I said, "No, No" Emily took off. Her socks and shoes were soaked! I am sure she would have had her own swim party if I would have let her.

A New Bed
Emily has a new bed - and baby sister too! With the two girls being so close in age we thought it would be best to buy bunk beds when looking for a bed for Emily. We haven't yet tried sleeping in it, but maybe in a few weeks. Emily loves to play around the bed and put her monkey on the bed. We are hoping she will love sleeping in the bed.

Easter 2014
We enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend together. On Friday Emily helped me fill some of the Easter eggs for our ward Easter egg hunt. She would help me put the jelly beans in the eggs and then exclaim, "Thank you!" For about 2 hours Emily was entertained with breaking the eggs open to fill, filling them, and putting them in the basket. I loved sharing a service project with her.
On Saturday, Emily continued to help me with the Easter egg hunt. Since the young women were in charge, Emily helped me put the eggs out on the field before the other children arrived. She loved dropping the eggs everywhere on the lawn. I guess you could say she was making a mess with permission. It wasn't until the very end did she discover the sweet treats in the eggs! Yummy!

On Easter morning the Easter Bunny left some goodies for us. Nelson got a new swimsuit, Emily a new stroller that she found a few days early, Baby Girl a monkey, and me a day date with my family. It was a "egg"cellent Easter.
After Emily went to bed Nelson and I dyed some eggs together. We weren't sure if Emily would dye the eggs or herself, so we did it just the two of us. Nelson made some great colors!

Emily's Favorite Place
It has become our routine to walk to the park each morning. Emily loves to go down the slides, swing, climb the stairs, and engage with other children there. She often does not want to come home! We can be found there later in the day too. I am grateful to live close to the park so Emily may enjoy a fun place to play!

Zoo Adventure
Over the weekend, we made a quick trip home as tagalongs to Nelson. He had some training and test up north, so we thought we would come too. On Friday, my mom took us to Hogle Zoo. We went in August too, but this trip was a bit more interactive with Emily. She seemed to be more aware of the animals and what was going on. Of coarse Emily loved the monkeys the best and the carousel ride. It was fun to see how much she has grown since our last visit. Thanks Mom for a fun day at the zoo!
